* either gender.
* presenting within seven days of trauma.
* planned for maxillofacial surgery.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Patients with international normalized ratio (INR) greater than 1.5.
* American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status of 3 or higher.
* chronic kidney disease.
