Eligibility Criteria:
Inclusion Criteria:
1. Diagnosis of epilepsy (confirmed by history or medical records and classified as per 2025 ILAE classification for seizures).
2. Scheduled for elective neurologic (e.g., epilepsy surgery) or non-neurologic surgery under anesthesia.
3. 18 years of age or older.
4. Adherence to standard fasting guidelines (verified by patient report).
Exclusion Criteria:
1. Refusal/withdrawal of consent.
2. Noncompliance with fasting guidelines.
3. Pregnancy.
4. Patients with continuous treatment on GLP/GIP 1 analogues without a washout period.
5. Parkinsons patients with proven gastroparesis.
6. Diabetic neuropathy with gastroparesis
7. Patients on Prokinetic agents (Metoclopramide/ Erythromycin)
8. Neuro muscular/ neurodegenerative disorders with gastroparesis.
9. Uncontrolled hypothyroidism.
10. Bowel obstruction
