Inclusion Criteria:
* singleton pregnancy
* gestation of at least 36 weeks at recruitment
* no uterine scar
* the absence of any obstetric complication that would contraindicate vaginal delivery.
Exclusion Criteria:
* refusal to participate in trial
* contraindications to labour, vaginal delivery, breastfeeding
