* Lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia
* Enlarged prostate volume by rectal ultrasound
Exclusion Criteria:
* Previous prostate surgery
* Previous or current diagnosis of prostate cancer
* Use of other medications for the treatment of prostatic hyperplasia
* Urinary tract infection
