Inclusion Criteria:
* Maxillary permanent dentition, except canines
* Ages ranging from 12 to 16 years old;
* Maxillary constriction associated to posterior crossbite uni or bilateral.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Cleft lip and palate;
* Craniofacial syndromes;
* Carious lesions;
* History of previous orthodontic treatment.
