* Scheduled for elective cardiac surgery on cardiopulmonary by-pass (CPB)
Exclusion Criteria:
* Age \<18 years.
* No consent
* Known allergy to heparin or protamine
* History of Heparin Induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT)
* Off pump surgery
