* Adults between 18 to 80 years of age, who are scheduled for elective removal of intracranial (surface and depth) electrodes under conscious sedation
Exclusion Criteria:
* Lack of informed consent
* Hypersensitivity to dexmedetomidine
* Language barrier
* Emergency surgery
