* peripheral artery disease (PAD) with femoro-popliteal stenosis \>70% or occlusion (vessel diameter 4-6mm)
* age 18-99
* informed consent
Exclusion Criteria:
* proximal / iliacal stenosis
* stenosis/occlusion of all arteries below the knee
