* hypercholesterolemia (LDL \>200 mg/dL)
* clinically-indicated aphersis for hyperlipidemia
* age \>18 y.o.
Exclusion Criteria:
* pregnant or lactating females
* hypersensitivity to ultrasound contrast agents
* evidence for right to left or bidirectional shunt
* on anticoagulants
