* Confirmed diagnosis of major trauma with ISS ≥ 16
Exclusion Criteria:
* Pregnancy
* Malignancy
* Pacemaker
* Status epilepticus
* Severe medical disease
* Life threatening
* Prior history of drug or alcohol dependence
* Immunodeficiency
* Vagotomy
