• Shock (mean arterial pressure \<65 mmHg) after initial resuscitation with fluids
Exclusion Criteria:
* Patients under 18 years of age.
* Known heart failure (ejection fraction \<35%)
* Recent acute myocardial infarction
* Pulmonary embolism
