* Age ≥ 18 years.
* Unilateral pleural effusion.
* A minimum of two thoracentesis prior to inclusion.
* Patients must be able to give informed consent.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Bilateral pleural effusions.
* Inability to understand written or spoken Danish.
