Eligibility Criteria:
Inclusion Criteria:
* Age: 2 to 17 years of age
* Diagnosis of perforated appendicitis at laparoscopy
* Development of a post-appendectomy abscess that is treated with percutaneous drainage.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Patients who are allergic to ampicillin
