Population Description:
forty subjects were needed to detect a difference in the mean change in the HbA1c from baseline to at the end of the study of 1% in the two dialysate concentration groups with a two-tailed t-test and variance of 1%, the required sample size will be 20 for each group with a power of 88% and alpha set at 0.05.
