Adverse Events Module

For researchers submitting trial data to ClinicalTrials.gov, the Adverse Events module is one of four mandatory results sections. It requires reporting in three primary categories: All-Cause Mortality: A table tracking all deaths that occurred during the study, regardless of cause. Serious Adverse Events (SAEs): A tabular summary of events resulting in death, life-threatening conditions, hospitalization, or significant disability. Other Adverse Events: A table for non-serious events that exceed a specific frequency threshold, such as 5% within any study arm.

Vilazodone A fixed dose titration (with doses ranging from 10mg to 40mg/day) will be used. Subjects will take 10mg/day for 1 week, 20mg/day for 1 week and then 40mg/day. Citalopram For those assigned to citalopram, the dose of citalopram will be maximized to 40mg/day. For those assigned to vilazodone, their citalopram dose will be maintained at 20mg/day for 1 week, then reduced to 10mg/day for 1 week, then switched to vilazodone 10mg/day.
