Adverse Events Module

For researchers submitting trial data to ClinicalTrials.gov, the Adverse Events module is one of four mandatory results sections. It requires reporting in three primary categories: All-Cause Mortality: A table tracking all deaths that occurred during the study, regardless of cause. Serious Adverse Events (SAEs): A tabular summary of events resulting in death, life-threatening conditions, hospitalization, or significant disability. Other Adverse Events: A table for non-serious events that exceed a specific frequency threshold, such as 5% within any study arm.

Combined Epidural With General Anesthesia Patients in this group received 5-8ml of 0.375% ropivacaine depend on the height and weight of the patient was administrated through the epidural catheter at least 20 min before induction.Followed by a continuous infusion of 4-6 ml 0.375% ropivacaine was applied using micro-infusion pump after induction during surgery. 5-8ml 0.375% ropivacaine: 5-8ml of 0.375% ropivacaine depend on the height and weight of the patient was administrated through the epidural catheter at least 20 min before induction in experimental group. General Anesthesia In this group, same dose of normal saline was administered before induction and during surgery. 5-8ml normal saline: 5-8ml of normal saline depend on the height and weight of the patient was administrated through the epidural catheter at least 20 min before induction.
