For researchers submitting trial data to ClinicalTrials.gov, the Adverse Events module is one of four mandatory results sections. It requires reporting in three primary categories: All-Cause Mortality: A table tracking all deaths that occurred during the study, regardless of cause. Serious Adverse Events (SAEs): A tabular summary of events resulting in death, life-threatening conditions, hospitalization, or significant disability. Other Adverse Events: A table for non-serious events that exceed a specific frequency threshold, such as 5% within any study arm.
Adverse Events Module path is as follows:
Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Event Groups
Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Serious Events
Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Other Events

| Blocked | Active treatment arm. Transient autonomic blockade with Trimethaphan and blood pressure restoration with L-NMMA will be used during insulin clamp Blocked: Trimethaphan 4 mg/min IV will be infused for the duration of the study. L-NMMA 125-500 mcg/k/min IV will be titrated to restore blood pressure to pre-trimethaphan levels Insulin clamp will be used to determine insulin resistance | None | None | 0 | 27 | 0 | 27 | View |
| Intact | Saline will be used instead of trimethaphan during insulin clamp Intact: Saline IV infusion to simulate trimethaphan infusion in active arm Insulin clamp will be done to determine insulin resistance | None | None | 0 | 27 | 0 | 27 | View |
