Adverse Events Module

Adverse Events Module

For researchers submitting trial data to ClinicalTrials.gov, the Adverse Events module is one of four mandatory results sections. It requires reporting in three primary categories: All-Cause Mortality: A table tracking all deaths that occurred during the study, regardless of cause. Serious Adverse Events (SAEs): A tabular summary of events resulting in death, life-threatening conditions, hospitalization, or significant disability. Other Adverse Events: A table for non-serious events that exceed a specific frequency threshold, such as 5% within any study arm.

Adverse Events Module path is as follows:

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Event Groups

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Serious Events

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Other Events

NCT ID: NCT02653768
Description: Adverse events were typically identified when participants told a study team member, during a routine contact (e.g., intervention contact, follow-up assessment contact) that a health event occurred.
Frequency Threshold: 0
Time Frame: 15 months for each participant
Study: NCT02653768
Study Brief: STepped Exercise Program for Knee OsteoArthritis

STEP-KOA This is a stepped exercise program. It begins with an internet-based exercise training program (STEP 1). After three months, participants are assessed to see if they have achieved clinically meaningful improvement in key osteoarthritis outcomes. If so, they remain at STEP 1. If not, they move on to STEP 2, which adds telephone-based coaching. Participants are assessed again three months later. Those that still have not achieved clinically relevant improvement move on to STEP 3, which adds a series of in-person physical therapy visits. Stepped Exercise Program: STEP 1: Participants have access to an internet-based exercise program for knee OA. STEP 2: Participants have access to an internet-based exercise program for knee OA plus telephone support. STEP 3: Participants have access to an internet-based exercise program for knee OA plus in-person physical therapy visit 1 None 23 230 3 230 View
