Adverse Events Module

Adverse Events Module

For researchers submitting trial data to ClinicalTrials.gov, the Adverse Events module is one of four mandatory results sections. It requires reporting in three primary categories: All-Cause Mortality: A table tracking all deaths that occurred during the study, regardless of cause. Serious Adverse Events (SAEs): A tabular summary of events resulting in death, life-threatening conditions, hospitalization, or significant disability. Other Adverse Events: A table for non-serious events that exceed a specific frequency threshold, such as 5% within any study arm.

Adverse Events Module path is as follows:

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Event Groups

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Serious Events

Study -> Results Section -> Adverse Events Module -> Other Events

NCT ID: NCT03745794
Description: All surgical complications for 90 days after the surgery were recorded. They were all unrelated to the QL-Block. The MDASI questionnaire survey were collected from 3/1/2019 to 11/29/2021. All deaths were unrelated to the QL-Block. In Arm 2, 53 participants were recorded as 1 of the 54 participants dropped out. We were unable to officially track the 90 day outcomes for that participant.
Frequency Threshold: 1
Time Frame: 90 days from surgery
Study: NCT03745794
Study Brief: Repeat Quadratus Lumborum Block to Reduce Opioid Need in Patients After Pancreatic Surgery
