Adverse Events Module
For researchers submitting trial data to ClinicalTrials.gov, the Adverse Events module is one of four mandatory results sections. It requires reporting in three primary categories: All-Cause Mortality: A table tracking all deaths that occurred during the study, regardless of cause. Serious Adverse Events (SAEs): A tabular summary of events resulting in death, life-threatening conditions, hospitalization, or significant disability. Other Adverse Events: A table for non-serious events that exceed a specific frequency threshold, such as 5% within any study arm.

| Active Drug | Adults and adolescents weighing greater than 88 pounds will receive one 75 mg oseltamivir capsule twice daily, with or without food for a total of 5 days (10 doses). Participants one year of age and older up to a maximum weight of 88 pounds will receive a liquid form of study medication containing oseltamivir at a concentration of 15mg/ml. | Placebo | Identical placebo capsule twice daily for 5 days (10 doses). Participants one year of age and older up to a maximum of 88 pounds will receive a placebo syrup. The dose will be based on weight as follows: \<=33 pounds,2 mL doses, two times per day; 34 - 51 pounds, 3 mL doses, two times per day; 52-88 pounds, 4 mL doses, two times per day.
